Images and information are speeding digitally from place to place using high-speed data transfer and telecommunications This makes new concepts like remote proofing a reality, giving designers and print buyers new freedom and assurance. Imagesetters and presses are producing better images in more colors at larger sizes, and new color options such as hi-fi printing promise even more vivid printed pieces.
