POP or Point of Purchase printing is the process of printing signage and information for use in retail stores. The name, POP or Point of Purchase, comes from the fact that most of the signage is displayed at the checkout lanes, or cash registers, thus the point of purchase.
It can also be referred to as POS or Point of Sale. POP printing goes beyond just printing the signage. Many times our customers require complex kits to be printed, assembled and shipped directly to the stores.
Because most retail stores are limited to a few hundred to a thousand stores, printing signage for each store can be an expensive process because of the short runs. The Bureau can “gang up” multiple forms onto our widest press, our 6 color KBA 64″ press and maximize the printing while maintaining low costs.
Also, with the purchase of a NexPress 2500 Digital Full Color Variable Press, The Bureau can print short runs for POP clients that can be customized and/or individualized for each store or region of the store. Imagine the possibilities. Think advertising snow and cold weather in warm climates during the winter is effective? With variable data printing, we can print a fully customized kit for each store, based on the region of the country, name of the store, and any other criteria our clients want to dream up. The possibilities for POP printing are unlimited.
